In his 15 year career, Strahan has many accomplishments. No. 92 is the Giants' all-time leader in games played with 216 and is the franchise leader in sacks with 141.5. Strahan was named to the All-Pro team four times and was the NFL Defensive MVP for his great performance during the 2001 season.
The biggest accomplishments for Strahan in his illustrious career is holding the NFL sack record for a single season with 22.5 sacks, that he set back during the 2001 season.
Since he retired from the game of football after the 2007 season, Strahan transitioned himself into the entertainment business. The former defensive end is currently one of the co-hosts of the Fox NFL Pregame show, as well as one of the co-host of the Kelly & Michael Show, a morning talk show that is broadcast on ABC.
If Strahan is elected into the Pro Football Hall Fame this year, he will join the only four other Giants players that are in the NFL Hall of Fame. These players include Rosie Brown, Emlen Tunnell, Harry Carson, and the great Lawrence Taylor. Last year, former Giants head coach Bill Parcells was elected into the Hall of Fame. Strahan will find out whether he made the cut on Saturday February 1, when the hall of fame committee will announce the class of 2014.
In his last NFL season, Strahan helped lead the Giants to a Super Bowl victory against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. Strahan currently ranks fifth on NFL's all time sack list and when he retired ranked first with the most sacks among active players in the leauge.
