Eagles Could Miss Top Receivers Friday

Minor injuries appear to be keeping the Eagles' starting wide receivers out of the preseason tilt in Foxborough.

Riley Cooper looks to miss his second preseason game, while a notable hamstring tweak will keep Jeremy Maclin out as well.

Cooper returned to limited drills on Sunday, August 10, but will still be held out of action Friday night against the Patriots. Speaking before the media Thursday, Cooper says the plan is for him to return to full practice this coming Sunday, and then take it from there.

Maclin suffered a minor gripping pain in his left hamstring Wednesday during joint practice with the Patriots, as he streaked past Darrelle Revis for a long touchdown. The injury isn't serious, but the sixth-year wideout will probably sit Friday as a precaution. Reuben Frank noted that Maclin isn't practicing today.

Arrelious Benn, Ifeanyi Momah, and Brad Smith received first-team reps at Thursday's practice.
