Huff on Fast-Track to Return?

Halt the talk about IR; Josh Huff is targeting Week 1 as his return from a shoulder sprain.

NJ.com's Eliot Shorr-Parks spoke with Eagles wideout Josh Huff Sunday, discussing Huff's recent inactivity due to an AC joint sprain suffered on August 15 against the Patriots.

Though Huff was in a sling for a time after the game, speculation over the rookie going on some form of injured reserve is apparently way off base. In fact, Shorr-Parks quotes Huff as saying he could play 'tomorrow' if he needed to.

"I'm trying to be out there in Week 1," Huff said. "(IR) hasn't been talked about."

It seems unlikely that Huff would suit up for Thursday night's preseason finale with the Jets, even for the sake of getting extra reps. Week 1 is merely a couple weeks away, so getting his shoulder back near 100 percent with some extra rest is naturally the way to go.
