Pre-Game Notes, August 28

It's back-ups night in Philadelphia, with jobs to be had. The Eagles welcome Michael Vick back to the Linc for the preseason finale.

-Alex Henery and Cody Parkey came out with mixed results in kicking warm-ups. Parkey drilled kicks of 50 and 53 (after a Henery 50-yarder fell short), but the rookie followed up by shanking a 35-yarder. Henery followed up by drilling a pair of 55-yarders. Henery also dominated in kick-off practice, consistently hitting the end zone as Parkey badly shanked a pair of tries.

-Back-ups Nolan Carroll and Brad Smith sit tonight. Both are expected to be on the 53-man roster. That leaves Arrelious Benn, Ifeanyi Momah, Damaris Johnson, and Jeff Maehl as the most likely candidates for the final receiver spot, while Jaylen Watkins, Curtis Marsh, and Roc Carmichael will rotate at corner.

-Darren Sproles and Brandon Boykin also sit tonight.

-Geoff Mosher tweeted about quarter after 6 PM EST that Chris Polk wasn't dressed for action, coming onto the field in sweats.

-Mosher also tweeted that Bennie Logan is dressed tonight, as are Beau Allen and Damion Square. The nose tackle competition is not over.

-Nine-time Pro Bowler Maxie Baughan, a linebacker from the 1960 NFL Championship team, will be an honorary captain for the Eagles tonight. Baughan played six years in Philadelphia, 1960-65, and was a Pro Bowler in each year, sans 1962. Baughan turned 76 earlier this month.
