Kendricks to Sit Through the Bye?

Once thought to be out with an innocuous calf injury, the inside linebacker has missed two straight games, and figures to miss even more.

The news isn't getting better for Mychal Kendricks.

Jeff McLane tweeted out today that the linebacker is unlikely for Sunday's game with the Rams, and quite possibly will be sitting for the Sunday nighter with the Giants on October 12.

Kendricks injured his calf back in Week 2 against the Colts, and was said to be fine after the game. It appears it's just a slow-healing injury, and that the Eagles don't want to rush him back to action until he's ready, which now looks like after the bye week.

One silver lining: the play of Emmanuel Acho inside was stellar on Sunday. The re-signed linebacker made four stops in the run game, and had a sack only nullified by the Eagles accepting a 49ers penalty instead. If Acho continues to play at that level for a game or two, not much of a beat will be missed.
