What They're Saying After Eagles Victory

Local writers and columnists praise Nick Foles, question Chip Kelly and look for answers the day after the Eagles' win over the Rams.

Starting today and the day after every game this season, WarNest.com will be giving you a taste of what beat writers and columnists from throughout the Delaware Valley have to say about the Eagles' performance in a feature called "What They're Saying".

Here's "What They're Saying" the day after the Eagles' 34-28 victory over the St. Louis Rams.

Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News offers up his report card on Sunday's game and gives quarterback Nick Foles a grade of B, writing, "It wasn’t Nick Foles’ best game, but it wasn’t his worst."

Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Bob Ford believes the 4-1 Eagles are a team with more questions than answers, asking, "If they had this much trouble putting away a game against St. Louis, what would happen in the playoffs against a better team?"

Kevin Cooney of the Bucks County Courier Times looks at the glaring weaknesses of the first place Eagles saying, "You can see some incredibly troubling signs for this football team-disturbing trends that will come back to haunt it down the road."

Across the river in Trenton, The Times' Mark Eckel scribes about how defensive coordinator Billy Davis is looking for consistency from his defense citing that he's "watched his unit stop the run one week and stop the pass the following week."
