Kelly on Injuries & Training vs. Practice

Head coach Chip Kelly updates injury status and talks about "training" as opposed to practicing in Thursday morning presser.

In his Thursday press conference at the NovaCare Complex, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly gave a final briefing in advance of Sunday night's game against the New York Giants.

On WR Brad Smith: "He had a core muscle injury. He'll be out for a couple of weeks."

On injuries in general: "There's not anybody in the league that isn't facing an injury bug somewhere...you hope you have enough depth and you try to teach your guys that aren't starters that they have to prepare like they are starters."

On calling team practice "training sessions": "I think we go out to train. That's the mentality. I agree with Allen Iverson. I think he's 100 percent right. We don't want to go out there and practice. I don't know what practice is good for."
