Head Scratching Facts Regarding Big Blue

Eagles-Giants games can be predicted a little easier than you may think.

In my investigation of Sunday night’s brawl with the Giants, I found some extremely unique factoids about this rivalry recently.

All of these bits of information are based just on the last six previous meetings with Big Blue.

-The series is split 3-3.

-In every game the Giants have lost, Eli Manning threw at least one interception (5 TD, 5 INT).

-In every game the Giants have won, Eli Manning did not throw an interception (9 TD, 0 INT).

-The Eagles won Sunday night games in 2011 (17-10) and 2012 (19-17) against the G-Men.

-The team that scored first won 5 out of the 6 games.

-20 rushes. That is the most amount of runs a New York running back had in a game. And that was not by Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jacobs, or David Wilson. It was by Peyton Hillis last season.

-Victor Cruz killed us. He hauled in 533 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns.

LeSean McCoy has struggled this year, to say the least. He crossed the goal line only twice against the Giants in the last six meetings.

-In six games, the Eagles have had six quarterbacks take a snap from center; Michael Vick, Nick Foles, Matt Barkley, Mike Kafka, Vince Young, and Trent Edwards. Yes you read that right. Trent Edwards had two passes for the Birds in a 42-7 embarrassing December 2012 loss. Those two passes were the only throws he attempted with Philly.
