Eskin: Ryans Playing Tonight

After holding their breath all week, Eagles fans can breathe slightly easier. One middle linebacker is a trusted starter, and will be needed against a momentous Giants team.

WIP's Howard Eskin just reported that linebacker DeMeco Ryans, limited this week with a groin injury, will play tonight against the Giants in a crucial division battle.

Eskin didn't name his source, but this would be an awful thing to be unsure of, and ultimately get wrong. Although Eskin's come into question for a number of his reports (the recent rumor of the Phillies takeover by minority owner John Middleton among them), he'd be proven wrong within an hour if he's incorrect.

Still, taking him at his word, Ryans is needed against a Giants offense that has found success in the underneath game with quick passes. The Eagles passing defense can't afford many more personnel losses.
