Kelly: We're 5-1, No Explanation Needed

Chip Kelly addresses Darren Sproles' injury, what the team's 5-1 record means and more during his weekly day-after press conference.

Head coach Chip Kelly held his day-after press conference Monday afternoon at the NovaCare Complex in Philadelphia, and confirmed news regarding Darren Sproles' injury.

"He's got an MCL sprain," said Kelly, "We'll see how long it's gonna be...could be a week or two."

Despite losing a valuable part of the Philadelphia offense, Kelly isn't hitting the panic button.

"We don't have a game this week, we're not going to make any maneuvers this week, and we'll see what happens when we get back next week," Kelly emphatically stated.

Later in the presser, FOX 29's Howard Eskin asked Chip Kelly if he could explain to fans and certain naysayers how the Eagles are 5-1.

Kelly tersely responded to the venerable Eskin, "We don't have to explain. I have nothing to explain to anybody. I don't worry about that. We're 5-1. That's it. You don't have to explain it to anybody."

Coach Kelly also addressed developing the depth chart at certain positions, the play of Vinny Curry and Connor Barwin and how the offensive line has begun to find a groove.
