Chip Kelly on Herremans & Houston

Head coach Chip Kelly updates the status of Todd Herremans and looks ahead to Houston in his mid-week press conference.

Wednesday morning, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly took to the podium at the NovaCare Complex to provide updates on specific players and to look ahead to this weekend's meeting with the Houston Texans.

On the subject of guard Todd Herremans playing with a bicep injury, Kelly told the media, "He (practiced) yesterday. It's what he can deal with. He's back up ready, slated to go today. We'll see what he can do this week." Herremans tore his left biceps muscle during Sunday's loss in Arizona. After initially being sidelined, he returned to action and finished the game.

Staying on the offensive line, Kelly updated the progress of center Jason Kelce. "He's looked good the last couple of days," Kelly stated, "It's just a matter of what he can handle. We'll make a decision on Saturday."

Also in today's press conference, Kelly addressed the play of DeMeco Ryans and Jeremy Maclin and talked about the challenges posed by J.J. Watt and the Texans.
