Kelly: Foles "Has A Crack" In His Clavicle

Chip Kelly talks about the injuries to Nick Foles and DeMeco Ryans in his Monday afternoon press conference.

Eagles' head coach Chip Kelly addressed the media assembled at the NovaCare Complex Monday afternoon to update the status of Eagles' starting quarterback Nick Foles who sustained an injury to his collarbone in Sunday's 31-21 win over Houston.

According to Kelly, "(Foles) has a crack in it, but I don't know the extent of the injury." He elaborated saying Foles is getting an MRI and he won't know the results until later in the day.

On the topic of Mark Sanchez being at the helm of the Eagles offense, Kelly stated, "I feel great about Mark; I've felt great about him all along." Coach Kelly emphasized that Sanchez knows the offense and is in a better spot than when Foles came in for an injured Michael Vick last season.

Other issues addressed in today's press conference include why the Eagles brought Mark Sanchez in after drafting Matt Barkley, the impact of losing DeMeco Ryans, the status of Todd Herremans going forward and if Evan Mathis will return for Monday's game against Carolina.
