Ryans to IR; Team Signs S Prosinski

The Eagles placed DeMeco Ryans on season ending injury reserve and signed Chris Prosinski Monday.

The Eagles made two roster moves Monday by placing linebacker DeMeco Ryans on the injured reserve and signing safety Chris Prosinski.

Ryans sustained a ruptured Achilles tendon in the Eagles' 31-21 victory in Houston Sunday. His placement on the team's injured reserve list officially ends his 2014 season. Ryans joins Travis Long and Najee Goode among the team's linebackers who suffered season-ending injuries.

Prosinski joins Philadelphia as a safety and special teams specialist. A fourth round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Prosinski played in Jacksonville for parts of 4 seasons being released by the Jaguars in late September. Prosinski, who has started in 9 games in his career, is the Eagles' fifth safety joining starters Nate Allen and Malcolm Jenkins and backups Chris Maragos and Earl Wolff.
