Maclin Named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Philadelphia's win in Houston Sunday.

He's healthy and he's making people forget about DeSean Jackson. Now, he's the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. He's Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin who received conference honors for his big game in Houston Sunday.

Maclin caught 6 passes for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Eagles 31-21 win over the Texans. Add in the fact that he had to catch passes from two different quarterbacks and his performance in Houston is that much more impressive.

Maclin has 790 receiving yards and 8 TDs in 8 games the season; those are numbers comparable to the 857 yards and 7 TDs he racked up in 15 games in 2012.

The weekly NFC honors are a first for Maclin. A year removed from tearing his ACL in training camp, Maclin has become Philadelphia's number one wide receiver and a big threat on long pass plays.

He'll go for his third consecutive game of 100 or more receiving yards Monday night at home against Carolina.
