Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer offers his take on how Mark Sanchez fits into Chip Kelly's system. According to McLane, "(Sanchez) never played in a system as suited to his skill set or for a coach as offensively gifted."
CSNPhilly Eagles Insider Geoff Mosher maps out what Mark Sanchez needs to do to succeed this week and in the weeks to come. Mosher looks at this as a major opportunity writing, "Sanchez has the chance...to keep the Eagles in the thick of the NFC East race and also repair his image after a high-profile downfall with the Jets."
The 700 Level's Andrew Kulp reacts to Donovan's McNabb's two cents on the role Mark Sanchez has going forward. Believe it or not, Kulp and "Smilin' Donnie" are in complete agreement.
Proving that there are other storylines than Mark Sanchez starting for the Eagles, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal looks at how important a role Emmanuel Acho will play on the Eagles' defense going forward. "No one is expecting Acho and (Casey) Matthews to come in and be able to do everything (DeMeco) Ryans can," writes Montemurro, "However, being a vocal leader is imperative for Acho."
And, the Associated Press' Rob Maaddi reports on the homecoming of former Eagle and current Panthers wideout Jasan Avant. Maaddi highlights the things Avant did in Philadelphia, chief among them being "a team leader, a mentor for young players and often a go-between for players and coaches."
