In an interview with 97.5 The Fanatic's Mike Missanelli, "Jaws" said the loss at Lambeau knocked the Eagles down a peg in his book. "Obviously, they're not an elite team right now," Jaworski asserted, "They're in that second group of team that will be a playoff team but don't show overall team talent to be a Super Bowl contender."
Jaworski went on to say that from the top down, Philadelphia was in an absolute mismatch against Green Bay. "The Eagles were out-coached in this game on both sides of the football. From a schematic standpoint, I thought the Green Bay Packers did a much better job than the Eagles."
As knowledgeable as he is on football, one thing puzzles Jaworski...the recent play of running back LeSean McCoy. When asked for his take on why Shady is underperforming, Jaws responded, "I don't know, but it's not the same guy. From watching the games and watching the tapes, he's not the same guy. He's not the same slashing, explosive runner that we've seen historically.
With all of the above said, Jaworski told Missanelli that Philadelphia is still the team to beat in the NFC East. "You get to play the Dallas Cowboys twice so you can prove it on the field. I still believe (the Eagles) a very good football team." Jaworski went on to say that while he thinks Philadelphia will split the season series with Dallas, the Eagles could very well beat Dallas twice en route to a division title.
