Eagles Come To Terms

The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have agreed to terms with LB Matt McCoy on a five-year contract.

With McCoy coming to terms, the Eagles have reached a contract agreement with all 11 draft picks. Rookies are scheduled to report to training camp by 7 pm tonight.

A 2nd round choice out of San Diego State, McCoy (5-11, 230) was one of the most productive linebackers in school history, as he finished his three-year career with 396 tackles, 8 sacks and 40 tackles for a loss.

The 22-year-old earned second-team All-Mountain West Conference honors in 2004 after posting 90 tackles and 3 sacks. He also led the conference in tackles in 2003 with 125 stops.

The Orange County, CA, native attended Tustin High School, where he set the school record for sacks as a junior (18.5) and broke his own record as a senior (23).
