Correll Buckhalter's Season Ends Early

The Philadelphia Eagles today announced that RB Correll Buckhalter underwent season-ending surgery on Tuesday, August 23, to repair a torn patella tendon in his right knee.

The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Al. Buckhalter was injured in practice on August 5.

This is Buckhalter's second surgery to repair the patella tendon in his right knee. He was originally injured during the second preseason game of 2004 vs. Baltimore on 8/20/04. He underwent surgery by Dr. Andrews six days later and was placed on the Injured Reserve list.
