Hood Signs One-Year Deal

After a season where he set career highs in tackles and interceptions, Roderick Hood will return to play for the Eagles again next season.

A former walk-on at Auburn, Roderick Hood has proved to be a valuable asset since signing with the Eagles as a rookie free agent in 2003. After distinguishing himself as a member of the Eagles' special teams return and coverage units, Hood started the final six games of last season in place of injured Lito Sheppard. Last season, Hood was the Eagles main kickoff returner, returning 38 kickoffs for an average of 23.7 yards.

The 24-year old has notched 80 tackles and five interceptions in 46 games with the Eagles. Last season, he set career highs in tackles (41) and interceptions (3).
