A.J. Feeley took over at quarterback after just one series and wound up putting in a nice day's work. Feeley wound up throwing for 321 yards and three touchdowns as the Eagles beat Atlanta's starting players 24-17. Feeley hit Matt Schobel for a 14 yard touchdown and Jason Avant on a 5 yarder before he capped his day with an 89 yard strike to Hank Baskett.
Ironically, the Falcons also finished the day with their backup quarterback after Michael Vick left the game with a sprained ankle. Matt Schaub came on and completed 15 of 21 passes for 175 yards and one touchdown. He also threw an interception.
The bad news for the Eagles was that running back Correll Buckhalter, who came in for Brian Westbrook, left the game after just one carry with a left knee strain. It's not known if he'll be available when the Eagles host the New York Giants next Sunday in the first round of the playoffs.
The Giants and Eagles will meet next Sunday at 4:30 and it will be the third time this season that the two teams have met. They split the first two games with each team winning on the road, although the Eagles home loss to New York was a game that they seemingly gave away. Tickets for the game will go on sale Wednesday.
