- Starters to play first half

Donovan McNabb and the first team offense got to play about a quarter and a half last week in Pittsburgh, and fans will get an even better look at the starters on both sides of the ball tonight as they are slated to play the entire first half.

- Samuel, Brown return to lineup

The Eagles will get two players back on the field this week, as cornerback Asante Samuel and wide receiver Reggie Brown are both ready to play in a game for the first time this preseason.

Samuel, the Eagles prize of the 2008 free agent crop, hasn't got a chance to show people why the team invested $57 million in him yet because of nagging hamstring injuries. He injured his left hamstring during voluntary team workouts in June, and then suffered a right hamstring injury during the first full-pad practice at Lehigh at the end of July which caused him to miss 12 days of practice and last week's game.j

Brown, who missed the game against the Steelers due to a sore Achilles tendon, is trying to prove that he can still be one of the team's top receivers. The Eagles used a second-round pick to select speedster DeSean Jackson in this year's draft, and the receiving corps has become extremely competitive as veterans like Jason Avant and Hank Baskett continue to improve.

- Line Shuffle

With Shawn Andrews missing most of training camp because of depression and with Tra Thomas suffering from back spasms since sunday, the Eagles will shuffle around their personnel on the offensive line tonight to field the best group possible. Todd Herremans will move from guard to left tackle to replace Thomas, while four-year veteran Scott Young will enter the line up and take Herremans place. Max Jean-Gilles, who has impressed the coaching staff with his strong play during training camp and the preseason, will start for Andrews at right guard for the second consecutive week.

- Delhomme to get more work

Panther's quarterback Jake Delhomme is expected to get much more work in the passing game this week, after throwing just one attempt last week in his first game back since undergoing elbow surgery. Delhomme had his 2007 season cut short when he injured his elbow in the third game of the season against Atlanta and required Tommy John surgery. His number one target, Pro Bowl receiver Steve Smith, will see limited action as he recovers from a mild concussion he suffered on August 11.

- Other notes

Defensive end Chris Clemons (strained calf), receiver Jamal Jones (sore ribs), and defensive tackle Montae Reagor (knee) will all sit out tonight's game... Sheldon Brown will start opposite Samuel at cornerback, with Lito Sheppard entering the game in nickel packages.
