Atlanta announced Wednesday morning the signing of punter Matt Bosher and long snapper Josh Harris to contract extensions.
Bosher gets a five-year extension while Harris gets four additional years on his contract.
Bosher is in his fourth season with the Falcons. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 draft out of Miami. ESPN reports Bosher will get $5.95 in guarantees, with a $2.5 million signing bonus. Bosher was in the last year of his rookie contract.
So far this season Bosher has had nine punts and has a 47.0 yard average (11th best in the NFL) and a 39.7 net yard average (14th best in the NFL). Bosher’s has averaged 45.5 yards per punt in his career, with a 41.1 net average.
Bosher is also Atlanta’s kickoff specialist.
Harris was signed two years ago out of Auburn as an undrafted free agent. He’s played in 34 games with the Falcons as the long snapper.
