Who might Ryan bring in as OC?

If Rex Ryan is the Falcons top candidate, who would he bring with him as the offensive coordinator?

The Falcons are continuing their interviews today for a new head coach as Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator gets his turn in front of Arthur Blank.

But the favorite continues to be Rex Ryan. Bowles is reportedly the last coach to be hired. There are reports Ryan will be brought back for a second interview. Might that mean he's being brought back to sign a contract?

Ryan is a defensive coach, and the Falcons desperately need help on defense after another awful season on that side of the ball.

But who would Ryan bring in as offensive coordinator if he gets the Atlanta job? It would be important, as the Falcons main success is tied to the offense.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Saturday that Ryan would want to team up with former Bears head coach Marc Trestman.

The Falcons would not have to worry much about running the ball much if Trestman comes as offensive coordinator. He has a reputation as a pass-happy offensive play caller.

Another name mentioned: Greg Roman, offensive coordinator for the 49'ers. Marty Mornhinweg was Ryan's OC with the Jets this past season.

There is no doubt that hiring Ryan, a defensive coach, would help the defense tremendously. But he would need someone to come in and control an offense that is led by quarterback Matt Ryan and receivers Julio Jones and Roddy White.
