Derrick Morgan played his college football at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. The Falcons would like him to come back to Georgia's biggest city to continue his professional career.
The unrestricted free agent, who has spent five years with the Tennessee Titans, will visit the Falcons. The team is in desperate need of a pass rusher.
Morgan had 6.5 sacks last season as the Titans moved him to outside linebacker. But he is considered more productive as a defensive end, where he had six sacks in 2013.
Morgan is 6-3 and weighs 261 pounds. He could probably add 10 more pounds to his frame if he does move back to defensive end. Morgan has started 56 games in the last four seasons.
The Falcons would like to get his signature before Morgan visits with Tampa Bay.
