Falcon Insider Mock Draft

Bud Dupree is Atlanta's pick in our NFL Mock Draft for the first eight picks.

It is finally here. It’s Draft Day 2015. We’ve waiting for several months for Atlanta’s new head coach and the revamped front office to have the chance to bring in new talent. So what will they do with pick number eight?

Here is our mock draft through Atlanta’ s pick. Trades could drastically change things, and we will not predict trades.

1. Tampa Bay – Jamies Winston – QB – FSU
Who knows if this will be a good pick, but it seems certain the Bucs are going in this direction. He’s got potential as long as he stays away from hook-ups at grocery stores. Tampa Bay has Publix, too.

2. Tennessee – Marcus Mariota – QB – Oregon
This is where the intrigue begins. Will the Titans trade this pick to Cleveland or Philadelphia? If not, they’ll likely make the safe pick and take Mariota.

3. Jacksonville – Leonard Williams – DL – USC
They may be tempted to take Alabama WR Amari Cooper, but the Jaguars will go with defense. They surprised us all last year, so who knows what they’ll really do?

4. Oakland – Amari Cooper – WR – Alabama
The Raiders have been linked to a wide receiver for so long, and Cooper is a potential impact player. They could go defense here, as well, or trade the pick.

5. Washington – Dante Fowler – DE – Florida
This is where the Falcons could swoop in make a trade. Fowler ‘falling’ to five would be a coup for the Redskins, but they are a very unpredictable franchise.

6. New York Jets – Vic Beasley – LB – Clemson
If Mariota is gone, the Jets will look to improve the defense. Beasley’s selection will make the Falcons know what they have to do.

7. Chicago – Kevin White – WR – West Virginia
The Bears need another threat for quarterback Jay Cutler, and White is obviously getting a lot of attention right behind Cooper. They could surprise and go defense here.

8. Atlanta – Bud Dupree – DL – Kentucky
If he is the second-best fit behind Fowler, then Dupree should be the pick. There are questions of whether he can be good or great, but Dan Quinn will have his chance to mold a player.
