Last September the Falcons extended the contract of punter Matt Bosher, locking him in for several more seasons.
Bosher's deal runs through 2019. He got a $2.5 million signing bonus and is guaranteed $5.95 million in the deal.
The Falcons selected Bosher out of the University of Miami in the 6th round of the 2011 draft. Bosher also handles kickoffs and has been praised frequently by special teams coach Keith Armstrong.
Bosher was 16th in the NFL last season in average yards per punt (45.7) and sixth in net average yards per punt (40.8). The Falcons did not allow a blocked punt last season, while Bosher had 27 punts inside the 20 yard line (12th best in the NFL).
The Falcons seem content with Bosher as both the punter and kickoff kicker. It's one area of the team that is not a concern heading into the 2015 season.
