Falcons pass on Isaiah Battle

The Rams take Battle as Atlanta decides to pass on taking the offensive lineman.

The Falcons were rumored to be interested in Clemson offensive lineman Isaiah Battle for the NFL's supplemental draft, but in the end they decided to pass.

The Falcons already do not have a fifth round pick in next year's draft from the scandal where the team admitted an employee pumped fake noise into the Georgia Dome.

Atlanta would have treated Battle as an experiment who could have received more training in a non-playing situation for a while until he showed the ability to be ready for the NFL.

The Falcons have improved the offensive line depth this offseason wtih the signings of former Washington linemen Tyler Polumbus and Chris Chester.
