Atlanta Falcons’ offensive stars Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman were named to the Pro Bowl Tuesday by the NFL.
This will be Jones’ second –straight and third overall selection to the Pro Bowl. He is currently second in the NFL with 1,544 receiving yards, 42 yards behind league-leader Antonio Brown. Jones has two games left and will surpass the 1,593 yards he accumulated last season. That mark also represents Jones as the Falcons’ all-time leader in most receiving yards gained in a single season.
Freeman is 7th in the NFL with 907 rushing yards. He led the league early on, but a head injury forced him to miss one game and be limited in a couple of others. Freeman will go to his first Pro Bowl. He had just 218 rushing yards last season in his rookie year.
Last year Jones was joined by quarterback Matt Ryan and return specialist Devin Hester in the Pro Bowl.
