Falcons' players contribute to Team Irvin's win

The Falcons contingent in Hawaii did very well to help Team Irvin win on Sunday.

It’s a game you might have missed, since the Pro Bowl is no longer appointment television. But Sunday the Falcons contributed to Team Irvin’s 49-27 win over Team Rice Sunday in Hawaii.

Running back Devonta Freeman had six carries for 27 yards and made two receptions for 17 yards. Freeman scored on a 6-yard touchdown catch in Team Irvin’s second drive. Freeman actually saw action at cornerback in the second half. You wonder how that made Atlanta head coach Dan Quinn feel seeing his running back play on defense.

Julio Jones did what Julio Jones usually does – he contributed. He had two catches for 26 yards and a touchdown, along with a two-point conversion on Team Irvin’s second touchdown.

Patrick DiMarco and Desmond Trufant also played. DiMarco had three carries for 15 yards, while Trufant was really not challenged on defense.
