Here is a schedule of the important offseason dates for the NFL

Keep these dates in mind as we prepare for the NFL offseason.

Now that the Super Bowl is over, it’s time to look at what’s next for the Falcons as we begin the offseason.

Tuesday, February 16 – The first day for clubs to designate franchise or transition players.

Tuesday, February 23 – Monday, February 29 – The NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Tuesday, March 1 at 4:00 pm ET – The deadline for clubs to designate franchise or transition players

Monday, March 7 – NFL teams are allowed to contact and begin contract negotiations with agents of players who will become unrestricted free agents on Wednesday, March 9 at 4:00.

Wednesday, March 9 prior to 4:00 pm ET – NFL teams must exercise options for 2016 on all players who have those contract options. Plus, teams must submit qualifying offers to restricted free agents. Atlanta’s potential restricted free agents are offensive lineman Ryan Schraeder and linebackers Nate Stupar and Paul Worrilow.

Wednesday, March 9 at 4:00 pm ET – NFL teams are allowed to sign unrestricted free agents

Friday, April 22 – Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets

Thursday, April 28 – Saturday, April 30 – NFL Draft
