Here's the free agent pass rushers that might interest the Falcons

Bill Shanks takes a look at the potential pass rushers available in free agency.

Bruce Irvin – LB – Seattle Seahawks
This would not be a shock, as it’s been rumored for over a year. Had 5.5 sacks.

Jason Pierre-Paul – DE – New York Giants
How can he perform with that hand?

Mario Williams – DE – Buffalo Bills
He did not fit with Rex Ryan’s defense. Had 5 sacks last season

Tamba Hali – DE – Kansas City Royals
Had 6.5 sacks. 10-year veteran that Scott Pioli is familiar with from his time in KC. He’s 32 now.

Chris Long – DE – Los Angeles Rams
He turns 31 later this month  and is a free agent after eight years in St. Louis. Had 3 sacks last season.

Derrick Shelby – DE – Miami Dolphins
He’s 27 later this week after after four seasons in Miami could leave. Had 3.5 sacks last season.

Robert Ayers – DE – New York Giants
Had 9.5 sacks last season, the most of any pass-rusher free agent.

Aldon Smith – DE – Oakland Raiders
Suspended for at least half of the upcoming season and may not be back then.

Greg Hardy – DE – Dallas Cowboys
Had 6 sacks last season, but is he worth the trouble?

Junior Galette – DE – Washington Redskins
Plenty of questions here. Had 10 sacks two years ago and 12 sacks in 2013 for the Saints.

William Hayes – DE – Los Angeles Rams
Had 5.5 sacks last season – Turns 31 in May – 6-3, 275 – Spent last four seasons with the Rams

Dwight Freeney – DE – Arizona Cardinals
Had 8 sacks last season, still solid for a veteran.

Jarvis Jenkins – DE – Chicago Bears
Had 4 sacks last season in his first year in Chicago after three years in Washington – Turns 28 next month
