The Falcons need help at linebacker after the release of Justin Durant, and one player on their radar is former Rams' star James Laurinaitis.
ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted Sunday morning that Laurinaitis is expected to visit Atlanta Monday and Tuesday, according to his sources
Laurinaitis is 29 years old. He has started every game of his seven-year career - 112 games. Last season Laurinaitis has 109 tackles and one sack. He has 16.5 sacks in his NFL career.
The middle linebacker was released by the Rams a few weeks ago in a cost-cutting move. He finished as the Rams' all-time leader in tackles.
Laurinaitis is considered a coach on the field. He was counted on heavily by defensive coordinator Gregg Williams to lead the defense.
Laurinaitis visited with the Saints last week.
