Will the Falcons be active when free agency starts Wednesday?

Here's a list of the players linked to the Falcons with two days before free agency.

CENTER

Jason Cole reported the Falcons may be a leading contender for Alex Mack, who is the best center available on the market.

GUARD

The Falcons were one of eight teams mentioned with Seahawks guard J.R. Sweezy. He'll turn 27 next month and is 6-5, 300. Sweezy started 15 games last season for Seattle, 16 games in 2014 and 15 games in 2013. Obviously, Falcons head coach Dan Quinn is familar with Sweezy from his days with the Seahawks.

TACKLE

Mitchell Schwartz (6-5, 320) is getting attention from several teams, including the Falcons. Perhaps Atlanta has Schwartz as a backup option in case Ryan Schraeder leaves via free agency.

WIDE RECEIVER

Mohamed Sanu has been linked to the Falcons. The Cincinnati receiver had 33 catches and 394 yards last season. He's 6-2 and weighs 210 pounds.

PASS RUSHER

The Bruce Irvin rumors are heating up again. He's being linked with the Falcons, but can the Falcons afford him? Irvin is looking for a big-money contract and the Jaguars may be ready to break the bank.

LINEBACKER

Danny Trevathan of Denver is considered a top linebacker available. He's 26 years old. The Bears, with his former head coach John Fox, are also expected to be interested.

James Laurinaitis is expected to visit the Falcons on Tuesday. The 29-year old veteran was released by the Rams recently.

SAFETY

Atlanta was one of five teams linked with George Iloka, the tall safety with the Cincinnati Bengals. Iloka is considered the best free agent safety available. He's 6-4, 225 and is 26 years old. Iloka started 12 games for the Bengals last season and 16 games in the 2014 and 2013 seasons. The Giants, Lions and Vikings join the Falcons and Bengals with interest in Iloka.

Reggie Nelson, Iloka's teammate with Cincinnati, has also been linked with the Bengals. The Eagles and Chargers have also been mentioned. Nelson, who is smaller than Iloka, led the NFL with eight interceptions last season.
