Mohamed Sanu signs a five-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons have a new wide receiver, as Mohamed Sanu signs a five-year contract.

The Falcons were in need of a complimentary receiver to go with Julio Jones and they have signed Mohamed Sanu to fill that role.

Sanu has spent the last four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was the fourth main receiver behind A.J. Green, Marvin Jones and Tyler Eifert. Sanu had just 33 catches for 394 yards last season. His best year was in 2014, when he started 13 games and had 56 catches for 790 yards and five touchdowns.

Sanu turns 27 in August. He is 6-2 and weighs 210 pounds. The Falcons will use Sanu and second-year pro Justin Hardy as compliments to star Julio Jones.

The deal for Sanu is for five years and a reported $32.5 million, with $14 million guaranteed over the first two years. Sanu receives a $7 million signing bonus.
