Reports have Kroy Biermann visiting Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills. So the Biermann era could finally be over in Atlanta.
The 30-year-old defensive end spent nine seasons in Atlanta. He had two seasons - 2010 and 2014 - when he was a primary starter. Biermann played in 16 games in each season except one, the 2013 season, when he was injured and limited to two games.
Biermann has been a relatively inexpensive player in his time with the Falcons, which has made it easier for the team to keep him around longer. It looked like his time with the Falcons was done a year ago, but new head coach Dan Quinn brought Biermann back for one more season.
Biermann played off the bench in every game last season and made 32 tackles and had 2.5 sacks.
With the addition of Derrick Shelby at defensive end and the return of Adrian Clayborn, Biermann was no longer needed. There has been no indication the Falcons wanted him to return for a 10th season.
