Falcons Hire Assistant Special Teams Coach

Flowery Branch, GA - The Atlanta Falcons today announced the hiring of Eric Sutulovich as their new Assistant Special Teams Coach.

Sutulovich will assist Falcons Special Teams Coordinator Keith Armstrong, and joins the Falcons' coaching staff after spending last season as an offensive assistant for the Detroit Lions. Sutulovich has previous NFL experience with the Houston Texans (Assistant Special Teams Coach from 2002-05).

Sutulovich also spent a season as the Offensive Coordinator for the Casper Cavalry of the Indoor Football League in 2000.

Sutulovich's coaching career began as a graduate assistant at Louisiana Tech (1997-99) and the University of Pittsburgh (2000-01), and as an offensive coordinator at Fort Scott (Kansas) Community College during the 2001 season. Sutulovich returned to the college ranks in 2006, serving as an assistant on Mark Mangino's staff at the University of Kansas.

Under Armstrong, the Falcons' special teams unit set an NFL single-season record for the fewest punt return yards allowed (49).
