The Atlanta Falcons have announced that they have released veteran defensive tackles Jason Jefferson and Tywain Myles, as well as undrafted rookie long-snapper Robert Shiver.
They are now at the 75-man roster limit, which they needed to get to by 4pm on Tuesday, September 1.
Jefferson joined the Falcons when he was claimed off waivers at the end of last August. He appeared in 13 games, making 9 tackles. He did not appear in either of the Falcons' three preseason games this summer.
Myles was joined the Falcons last January and Shiver was signed on the day after the 2009 NFL Draft.
Myles and Shiver both played in all three preseason games, but neither appeared on the stat sheet.
