Giants agree to terms with DE Washington

The Giants were looking for some depth and insurance at the defensive end position. The club has agreed to terms with former Bronco Keith Washington

With Keith Hamilton on the mend, and a shallow reserve pool at the defensive end position, the Giants are looking to shore up the defensive line.

While the team will likely draft at that position of need, they were also looking for a free agent with some experience and found that in Keith Washington.

Washington and the Giants have agreed to a one year deal worth about $655,000 with a $25,000 signing bonus.

In 2001 Washington started all 16 games at left defensive end for the Denver Broncos and posted a career-high 60 tackles (44 solo), including a career-high four sacks (-29), as well as a forced fumble and fumble recovery.

In 2002 he started 10 games and posted one interception as a reserve.
