Stoutmire played a lot better than people realized last season, but still isn't the interception machine you'd like at deep safety. Behind the starters is veteran Johnnie Harris and unproven but promising Clarence LeBlanc, who had an excellent training camp last year cut short due to injury.
The Giants don't have a glaring need at safety, but would definitely like to add a younger, quicker player in that department. Expect a middle-round pick here.
At corner, Big Blue is set with the Wills – starting CBs Will Allen and Will Peterson. However, Peterson had surgery on his left little toe and probably won't even be able to run for another month or so. That will put more pressure on nickel CB candidates Ralph Brown and Kato Serwanga to step up. The corner position seems to be in pretty good hands, but as Ernie Accorsi always says, you can never have too many good corners.
