Dayne, vigorously working out on his own with a personal trainer, has already lost 14 pounds this off-season...

Despite the signing of Dorsey Levens, the Giants are in no rush whatsoever to unload disgruntled RB Ron Dayne. Big Blue will listen to trade offers, but isn't seeking to move Dayne. "He's valuable to us right now," Giants GM Ernie Accorsi said. "We have no sense of urgency to move him."

The Giants are counting on DT Keith Hamilton. Hammer, who had his 2002 campaign cut short due to a torn Achilles' tendon, is on schedule for training camp.

"He's doing well," Accorsi said. Hamilton's obviously in New York's plans, as they restructured his contract for the umpteenth off-season…

Last year's third-round pick OL Jeff Hatch is "definitely in the mix" for either of the vacant slots at RG or RT, according to Accorsi. Don't be surprised at all if Hatch receives a legitimate shot to start at right guard…
