Giants Start Passing Camp -- Unofficially

The NFL lockout didn't stop Eli Manning from gathering a bunch of his receivers for an informal passing session Tuesday at Hoboken High.

The lockout remained in full effect pending the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling on Judge Susan Nelson's injunction, but some of the Giants weren't sitting idly by.

Eli Manning and 10 of his receivers, including WRs Hakeem Nicks, Ramses Barden, Duke Calhoun, and Victor Cruz, TE Kevin Boss, and RB DJ Ware got together for an informal passing camp at Hoboken High in New Jersey Tuesday.

The Jets, by the way, were doing the same thing in California with Mark Sanchez, and undoubtedly the other offensive leaders of the NFL will call their own camps while they await a new CBA, or at least the re-opening of training facility doors under judicial order.

Some of Manning's targets will also attend his annual Manning Passing Academy in Louisiana, where he and his brothers Peyton and Cooper tutor young quarterbacks.
