Round Four

Right below DT on its shopping list, New York identified corner as an area in need of upgrade.

The Giants wanted to bring in competition for nickel corners Ray Green, Kato Serwanga and Ralph Brown. So when they were unable to land a CB during the Draft's opening day, it was hardly surprising that Big Blue chose Texas CB Rod Babers with the 123rd overall selection.

The 5-9, 190-pound athlete was a solid three-year starter for the Longhorns. He recorded 131 tackles, four sacks and five interceptions in 47 games. He showed great return skills after his picks, gaining 176 yards for a gaudy 35.2-yard average. He's expected to be a special teams contributor and a situational coverage guy for New York.
