Schaub was able to throw for 4,008 yards and 22 touchdowns this year, though he did throw 12 interceptions. The passing yardage was the third highest total in Schaub's career.
Even so, Schaub caught a lot of criticism down the stretch for not getting the job done after the Texans got out to a hot start.
"There's plays for him to make, but he did make a lot of plays, too," Kubiak said at the Texans' season-ending presser. "I believe in Matt. He's the quarterback of our football team. I've got no doubt about him."
