Victor Cruz agrees to sign his RFA tender

Giants fans can breath a collective sigh of relief as Big Blue's top receiving target plans to sign on the dotted line Friday.

On Friday, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz informed ESPN's Josina Anderson that he will travel to the Timex Performance Center to sign his $2.879 million restricted free agent tender.

"I'm going to sign my tender today and will continue talks for a long-term deal before camp starts," Cruz told ESPN Friday morning.

Cruz has missed all of the Giants offseason activities so far and there was a growing concern that his contract negotiations could extend into the team's training camp in July.

In his first two seasons with Big Blue, Cruz tallied 168 receptions for 2,628 yards, 19 touchdowns and 111 first downs. On Tuesday, wide receiver Hakeem Nicks made his first appearance at Giants minicamp, ruling out the possibility that a contract holdout could be on the horizon.

With both of his top targets in camp, it looks like an exciting summer ahead for Eli Manning and company.
