 Key Matchups:

Giants WR Odell Beckham jr. vs. Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall/ Chris Culliver

OBJ is the clear number one passing option for Eli Manning. He got back on track this past weekend going for 146 yards and a score on 7 catches against the Falcons. The falcons have one of the top corners in Desmond Trufant. Either veteran DeAngelo Hall or Chris Culliver will draw OBJ in a tough matchup.

Giants OT Ereck Flowers vs. Redskins OLB’s Ryan Kerrigan/Trent Murphy

Flowers struggled two weeks ago mightily with Cowboys rookie Randy Gregory. In the Redskins 3-4 scheme, Kerrigan and Murphy are threats that need to be held in check, specifically Kerrigan who is coming off of a year in which he had 13.5 sacks and 5 forced fumbles last season.

Interesting Notes and Key Facts:

Since the expanded format of the playoffs including 12 teams, only 11.2% of teams starting 0-2 have made the playoffs. The Giants surely want to improve this percentage after their 0-2 start.

So far this season the Washington Redskins have allowed just 469 yards, which is best in the NFL. On the other hand, the New York Giants have allowed 838 yards, which ranks them at second to last, better only than the Oakland Raiders.

Eli Manning is a career 15-6 against the Washington Redskins in his career. Those 15 wins are the most amongst any team in the league.

Last season, Odell Beckham jr.’s best statistical game came against the Redskins when he accounted for 12 catches for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns.

In away games versus the Giants, the Redskins have won two away games since 2007, and are 2-6 over that span.
