Key Matchups:

Redskins TE Jordan Reed vs. Giants LB’s and Safeties

The Giants have had a very tough time trying to cover tight ends all season long. In their last game against the Patriots Rob Gronkowski had 113 yards and a touchdown. Reed has proven to be one of the best receiving threats for the Redskins and in the first meeting he caught six balls for 96 yards. The defense needs to try to limit the damage that Reed can cause.

Redskins T Trent Williams vs. Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul

Williams has been limited in practice with a knee injury, but looks like he will be good to go on Sunday.  Pierre-Paul will look to disrupt Kirk Cousins and the Redskins offense. If they can get some pressure on Cousins, they may be able to force some turnovers.

Interesting Notes and Key Facts:

In their first meeting in week 3 the Giants defeated the Redskins 32-21.

Giants kicker Josh Brown is the only one of two kickers in the NFL who, with a minimum of 15 attempts, hasn’t missed a field goal. Brown is 23-23, but has missed one extra point attempt.

Kirk Cousins is third in the NFL in completion percentage (among qualifiers) at 68.3 %.

The redskins haven’t been on a five game winning streak since 1991, and they have the chance to change that with a win on Sunday.
