Tom Coughlin joining NFL's League Office

The long-time Giants head coach will stay in New York and join the NFL's League Office.

Former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has taken a job with the NFL Football Operations Department.  Coughlin resigned this past season after 12 years at the helm and his third consecutive losing season.  NFL Football Operations works to uphold the integrity, safety, and fan experience standards of the NFL through adjustments to the NFL rulebook, standards, and practices.

These changes are designed to make the NFL as perfect a product as possible while creating and instilling league rules.

Coughlin was and still is a beloved figure in Giants lore, having been responsible for two of the most improbable Super Bowl runs of all-time in both 2007 and 2011.  He will receive the honor of being inducted into the Giants Ring of Honor along with Justin Tuck and Ernie Accorsi on November 14.
