New Jersey governor and staunch Dallas Cowboys fan Chris Christie took multiple shots at New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo Tuesday morning on WFAN’s Boomer and Carton. Christie was asked about the 10-7 loss his Cowboys had on Sunday night, as well as the supposed quarterback controversy between Dak Prescott and Tony Romo, put largely in the spotlight by Christie’s good friend and team owner Jerry Jones, and the Giants’ playoff chances.
Craig Carton then asked the governor about McAdoo’s hairstyle, and the former presidential candidate went on to rip McAdoo (pictured below) when Carton tried to steer the conversation towards Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis and his own hairstyle problems.
"That bar is really low," Christie said. "At least you don't have to see Mark Davis every week on the sideline every week. That McAdoo haircut and cheesy mustache..."
Although Christie has his share of problems when it comes to his own appearance, it’s obvious that he’s bitter that McAdoo is the one coach who has been able to figure out how to stop his team this season. Despite the two losses, Christie’s Cowboys remain close to a lock for the top seed in the NFC, including both the NFC East Championship and a first-round bye. However, Christie may have to see that cheesy-looking Giants head coach for the third time in a few weeks, where McAdoo’s looks should be the least of his worries.
