Here are the thoughts of a few Giants regarding their motivation for Sunday's game in Kansas City:
LDE Michael Strahan: "I think our inspiration will be the fact that we're playing for New York City. We're playing for those firefighters and police officers, everybody that is trapped in the building, everybody that is helping in the effort to get out of that building. We just have to keep in mind that we are playing for them. This is New York City and we are their team. That's why we got back in focus.
"When you go down there and those guys show their appreciation to you, you're just in amazement, and you realize, boy, you can really lift some spirits, even if it's only for a few hours. We don't want to go out there and have them watch us and say, 'Boy, those Giants sure do stink.'"
SS Sam Garnes: "We're ready to rally around both New York and New Jersey. We're looking forward to going out there and giving those people something to be happy about. If we get a win this weekend and do it in good fashion, they'll definitely have something to smile about."
DT Keith Hamilton: "Everybody realizes what we need to do on Sunday. This was no doubt the most tragic thing I've ever seen. But it's time for us to get back to work. Like the rescuers and those people over there have a job to do, we have a job to do. We all know we represent New York."
