Giants 2017 preseason schedule released

The Giants Beat takes a look at Big Blue's exhibition slate.

The New York Giants preseason schedule has officially been released, which means we’re one step closer to seeing the Odell Beckham Jr.-Brandon Marshall duo in action.

In preseason Week 1, the Giants will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in MetLife Stadium. Last season, Big Blue struggled to contain Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown in the Giants’ 24-14 loss. The Giants boasted an elite defense, but the Steelers’ big two absolutely drilled through the secondary.

The Giants are headed to Cleveland in Week 2 to play the Browns in a Monday night game that will be televised by ESPN. The Browns have primarily been defined by their struggles, but this year, they hold the No. 1 pick in the draft so it will be interesting to see the top rookie.

The following week takes us back to Jersey, where the Giants will face the New York Jets in the MetLife Bowl. The Giants won the 2016 matchup, 21-20. The battle of New York will mark the first time Brandon Marshall plays his former teammates.

To conclude the preseason, The Giants will visit the defending Super Bowl champs in Boston. The classic rivalry gives us yet another chance to watch two of the league’s most legendary QBs take the field.
